BILINGUALISM

LEARNING IN PROGRESS: WE TEACH HOW TO BECOME BILINGUAL

Learning in Progress is CEFA’s bilingualism project, started after 2000, which foresees the presence of English mother-tongue teachers starting from kindergarten and building on the ordinary use of English in different areas of teaching which is one of the main levers of conscious and applied language learning.

BILINGUALISM

INTEGRATING ITALIAN CULTURE

WITH A GLOBAL VISION

The study and practice of English takes place within an integrated process that starts from the knowledge of Italian language and culture, highlighted from an international perspective. For this reason, some disciplines are carried out in the two languages, while others are entirely in English, with textbooks in language. The same method of study is built with the aim of integrated bilingualism: the acquisition by the students of the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing is enhanced by the use of new technologies tied to the world of robotics, of STEAM and new software proposed by the teachers.

BILINGUALISM

WE PREPARE OFFICIAL CAMBRIDGE CERTIFICATION EXAMS

The quality of language learning is monitored and verified periodically by British Council exams and by the consequent confirmation of official certificates: from Young Learners in Primary school to the FCE (First Certificate in English) in Secondary school.

BILINGUALISM

LEARNING BY DOING

STEAM DISCIPLINES IN THE SERVICE

OF KNOW-HOW

Since the school year 2019-2020 STEAM in English,
methodology and instruments have integrated traditional didactics with robotic elements for the development and enforcement of the transversal or soft skills
, from Kindergarten to Secondary school.

Internationality

WE ARE FORMING CITIZENS OF THE WORLD

Our formative model provides an opening to different cultures and the development of communicative skills in an increasingly global context without frontiers.
This is why CEFA schools expand their didactic offer with specific projects that enable students to engage with European peers and from other parts of the world.
The intensive annual experiences abroad, the semesters in Anglo-Saxon countries, the two-week summer camps complete the international adding to the ordinary didactic activities that provide, as stable contents of teaching the knowledge of other countries.

INTERNATIONAL TOOLS

International Week

pupils spend a week in other European countries where they practice language skills with students from other European countries, attend intensive language courses and learn about other cultures through their stay with the families of schools twinned with CEFA.

International Summer Camp

Our pupils can experience a summer study period abroad in a foreign partner school.

Back Soon

For those pupils who are interested there is the possibility to spend a bimonthly or even a semester in a school abroad (Spain, Ireland, USA) Global Classroom

Global Classroom

video-conference presentations to colleagues from other European schools of the didactic works carried out by students.

Take a Look Abroad

Teachers insert in their didactic projects of information contents concerning habits of other countries and cultures.

Embassy Routes

Periodic meetings in English or Spanish with diplomats from Embassies present in Rome are organised for students to learn about the culture of other nations and the meaning of political balance. Furthermore, diplomats often open the doors of their seats to consent to guided visits.

Local and International Menu

The project of internationality and the discovery of territories also passes through the school menu.

School Charity

Our students are involved every year in international solidarity projects to aid other social realities.

SOLIDARITY

TEACHING CONSCIOUS LIVING

Every year CEFA Schools engage in an international solidarity project to acquaint students with foreign realities that need support.
It is also an occasion to develop the international character that is typical of CEFA schools, through the exercise of linguistic skills during the collaboration with educational realities in Africa or in Asia.
