BEe COMMUNITY - Cooperative School is the new project of the Maria Rosa Zangara School whose goal is to ensure a sustainable growth in the respect of the educational and training values of the school and enhances collaboration and cooperation as the centerpiece of school life, through innovative methodologies and with an active involvement of families and the consequent enhancement of the local area.
It is a concept that embraces different forms of Cooperation applicable to school life, resulting in an innovative and inclusive educational model.
Zangara School represents a potentially rich environment, a fertile ground where cooperation can become the engine of growth for the relationship with families, for teachers’ involvement, for the harmonious development of students and the interaction with the urban context of reference.
This awareness led to the idea of “Cooperative School” as a distinctive brand to be associated with Zangara School: a concept that embraces different forms of cooperation applicable to school life, resulting in an innovative and inclusive educational model.

Parlando di cooperazione e sostenibilità, viene spontaneo pensare alle api, primo preziosissimo esempio di collaborazione in natura. Come le api volando da un fiore all’altro raccolgono nettare e polline, favorendo l’impollinazione fondamentale per la riproduzione delle piante, per la biodiversità e l’equilibrio dell’ecosistema, così il modello Zangara propone progetti collaborativi orizzontali che già iziano a prendere forma:
• Cooperative Learning: è un metodo di insegnamento basato sulla collaborazione tra gli studenti, per favorire l’apprendimento attivo e condiviso. Il Progetto della Continuità, ad esempio, coinvolge le classi di fine ciclo: guidati dai compagni più grandi, gli alunni del Nido e della III Infanzia scoprono spazi e persone della Scuola dei grandi. Il progetto rappresenta un ponte tra i diversi livelli di istruzione e garantisce un percorso formativo coeso e armonioso.
• Cooperative Teaching: prevede la collaborazione pratica tra docenti per garantire un insegnamento integrato e arricchito da diverse prospettive.
- Cooperative Performing: taking advantage of theater as an educational tool, it involves the creation of theatrical and musical products through synergy between students and teachers.
- Cooperative Development: concept aimed at developing school inclusion, ensuring equal opportunities for all students.
• Cooperative Living: il coinvolgimento del territorio e delle varie realtà locali rappresenta il primo passo da compiere per promuovere progetti di cooperazione a livello comunitario e internazionale.
From theory to practice:
The special days of Carnival (Feb. 20), Water (scheduled for March 20) and Earth (scheduled for April 15) involve the development of shared planning among teachers and cross-collaboration between Kindergarten and Primary classes to develop a Theater project that, through the main focus, engages students in a polyphonic narrative led by teachers of all subjects.
