The school

At Petranova International InstituteWe grow together with our pupils, unique and unrepeatable persons who begin a path of discoveries from Nursery school on which will increase their skills during their most fertile years of growth.

The Nursery School “the Girotondo” and the kindergarten are located in the neighbourhood of Piazza Bologna, near Sapienza University and only a few steps from the Metro stop “Policlinico.”

Our location

The building in which the schools are located has become the definitive seat of Petranova, and was expanded and modernised in 2017.

The institute can count on a variety of spaces for didactic purposes as well as for afternoon after school activities: a polyfunctional gym, a courtyard, various multifunctional spaces, the theatre, the Music room, and the psychomotricity room, the Scientific Atelier, the Artistic Atelier and the Light Atelier.

The classrooms of the ZeroSix Project, wide and full of light, are situated on the ground and first floor of the building with direct access to the courtyard facing the school’s entrance, which is enriched by an outdoor amphitheatre for the singing and Drama representations and by a Miny- volley Court.

Projects

We are nature’s Keepers.

This project aims to highlight and integrate the Bilingual and Innovative teaching projects with the observation, analysis and valorisation of Nature.

Drama

The main goal of our Drama courses is to learn how to control one’s body and speech in front of a public. Periodically this activity is rendered practical through Drama representations.

Learning in progress is the Bilingual CEFA Schools project for Nursery School and Kindergarten.

Governance

The strategic lines related to the nursery, the ordinary management of the structure and the coordination of the educational group are entrusted to a Board of Directors that decides in a collegial way. One elected parent is called to complete the board of Directors.

Extra Activities, insights and training

The educational offer is extended and enriched by various extra school activities that take place at the end of the school day. The extra activities are entrusted to the school ‘s teaching staff and/or to external cooperators, chosen for the substantial partaking of the aims and methods of the school’s educational offer in an extra-scholastic context.
