EDUCATIONAL PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

GIRLS AND BOYS WILL LIVE THE SAME SCHOOL IN SINGLE SEX CLASSROOMS

Our new pedagogical project provides that boys and girls will share the same location in single sex classrooms.

Tutti gli studenti della Scuola Primaria CEFA frequentano il Petranova International Institute, in Via Pavia, 23.

All CEFA Secondary School students will attend lessons at Iunior International Institute in Via Giovanni Battista De Rossi, 48.

EDUCATIONAL PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

ENRICHMENT OF THE RELATIONAL ASSETS

LE CLASSI SONO SINGLE SEX CON LEZIONI SETTIMANALI E ATTIVITÀ STRUTTURATE CHE MASCHI E FEMMINE SVOLGONO INSIEME.

The single sex class model is more and more a winning choice to face the formative challenges of the world as we know it today. This model allows us to support our students in their development and learning process, without relinquishing frequent and stable moments of exchange and comparison.

Furthermore, the educational offer will be enriched by new lessons, activities and experiences structured and aimed for the development of relational skills among the pupils.

EDUCATIONAL PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

NEW EDUCATIONAL SPACES

Gli spazi indoor e outdoor sono stati ridisegnati per rispondere al meglio alle esigenze educative.

The outdoor spaces of the Petranova were redesigned and reorganised by an engineering and architecture company to be fully functional for the educational project and the educational offerings of the CEFA Schools.

EDUCATIONAL PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

Faq

It will take about three months. We expect them to start in May 2024 and finish in early August 2024.

Absolutely not. Work will be organised in such a way that it does not affect areas used by pupils. Where necessary, work will be done when there is no teaching activity.

The nursery children's play area remains as it is today. In addition, they will also be able to use other play areas of the school as all spaces are for the use of all.

No, the teachers will be the same.

Yes, it is a feature of our educational project that we maintain and protect.

In each level there are lessons and activities that boys and girls will do together.

For the Primary School level -Classes I, II, III, IV and V- we have planned the following mixed activities: 1 hour per day of lunch and recess, 1 weekly STEAM lesson, Religion, Music (Choir), Public Speaking; periodically 1 lesson of Civic Education.

For the Secondary School level -Classes I, II, III - we have planned the following mixed activities: 1 hour per day of lunch and recess, 1 weekly lesson of STEAM, Religion, Theatre; periodically 1 lesson of Civic Education, Art and Technology.

Petranova has four entrances to the road, not all of which are used today. The most suitable exit will be chosen.

Yes, on the occasion of, for example, summer centres, which will also continue to be held there. We have planned four special days for primary school pupils in which they will spend the whole day at the Iunior.

We have also planned four special days for secondary school pupils in which they will spend the whole day at Petranova.

Yes, it is correct to claim this because our educational offer is dynamic over time, but it is not correct if it is understood that we are willing to give up the values we believe in. Single sex education still remains one of our main identity aspects.

It is clear that one cannot separate the relational components from the educational and therefore didactic ones. The experts, however, while not entering specifically into didactic technicalities, have affirmed that the didactic dimension also makes use of the relational one.

We have identified an educational need and, except for important elements that have not been seriously considered, it is the duty of those who manage to work to meet these needs. We have studied the different areas of the project in good time; today all the conditions are in place for it to proceed.
